All add-ons currently require PHP 7.4 or greater.

On July 4th 2024 PHP 8.2 will be the new minimum requirement for all add-ons. Expect any add-on released after that date to require 8.2 or greater. Some releases may not immediately take advantage of 8.x specific features in PHP, which means you might, be able to continue using new releases in PHP 7.4, however, if you experience an error the first thing you should do is update to PHP 8.2 then create a support ticket if the error persists.

Publisher does not support the Fluid field type. Please do not contact asking when support will be available.

Ticket: Migration from CE_Cache

Status Resolved
Add-on / Version Speedy 1.8.1
Severity
EE Version 7.3.12

We’re migrating from CE_Cache but when installing Speedy it does not migrate in any way.
When clicking on install we get a white screen. When reloading the page again and then reloading it it says Speedy is installed.
We are updating a site from EE version 5 with Publisher Lite, Bloqs and more. And with CE_Cache installed. But CE_Cache is no longer working (as you know).
What could help as well is how to migrate the most used tags from CE_Cache to Speedy. We can work throughout the site by hand as we need to go through all settings anyway.
Best regards,
Harold (Terralemon)

If you’re getting a white screen there should be something in your php error logs.

All the migration does is copy the tags and cache busting configuration, and it tries to update the templates. It’s possible that is the part that failed. If so, you might have to update the template files yourself manually. Check to see if the other cache busting options copied over correctly.

Tag updates you might have to make: https://docs.boldminded.com/speedy/docs/migrating-from-ce-cache

Should have clarified, if you got a white screen but can’t find any error messages in your log files, then I’m not sure there is much I can do because I have no idea what failed.

Hi Brian, I will look for the PHP error logs and will run through the migrating docs. Thanks. Best regards, Harold
