What's Changing?

ExpressionEngine has recently introduced support for license validation for third-party add-ons. As a result, BoldMinded will be migrating all license validations to expressionengine.com.

Effective July 29th August 26th, BoldMinded add-ons will validate licenses through the EE Add-on Store. Your license will be linked to your EE Store account and a specific site. If your license isn't associated with a site yet, it will appear as “unlicensed” in your control panel.

If the email address you used to purchase add-ons on boldminded.com is different than the address used on expressionengine.com, a new user has been created for you on expressionengine.com with that email address. You will need to perform a password reset to login to the new account. If you wish to transfer your licenses from one account to the other, you will need to contact ExpressionEngine support.

Action Required:

Associate Your License with Your Site: Visit expressionengine.com to link your BoldMinded add-ons to your site. Detailed instructions are available here.

Renew Expired Licenses: Licenses associated with a site but purchased from expressionengine.com over a year ago will need renewal. Until renewed, they will appear as “expired” in your control panel.

Going Forward

Purchasing Add-ons: You can still buy add-ons from boldminded.com to keep all your license transactions in one place. We will simply transfer the necessary purchase information to expressionengine.com for validation.

Support: Support will continue to be provided through boldminded.com, requiring a BoldMinded account.

Licensing: We are phasing out the custom license validation that is included in BoldMinded add-ons. This License field in the add-on's settings will be removed in an upcoming release.
