Hey there,

I’ve got a multi-language site using Publisher and it works great except whenever I’m trying to render relationship data.

The sidebars on these pages are entries pulled in via a relationship field but if I provide translations for them, they’re not actually used on the page.
e.g.
http://innography.tmmhosting.com/solutions
http://innographyjp.tmmhosting.com/solutions

All other non-relationship data seems to be pulled in correctly.

Let me know if you have follow up questions and thanks for your help,
Kristine

Hi, Kristine. Sorry you’re having trouble. Let me double check my local environment and see if I can replicate this, then we’ll go from there 😊

Seems to be working for me locally. What does your template look like that is rendering the relationship field? Specifically, what does the relationship tag pair look like and what custom fields are you trying to display in the relationship? Are you talking about things in the sidebar like the Blog, News and Success Stories?

I see you’re using Stash based on the template code you sent. Can you remove Stash from the equation and break the template down to its bare bones? E.g. only the entries tag and tab_1_content_sections relationship field and nothing else, then see if the translations work.

Your site is loading really, really slow and the CP login you provided does not work.

Kristine, I just noticed that you’re running EE 2.6, which I don’t support any more. 2.7 and up is the only versions I support. Would you be able to upgrade a staging environment to 2.8 or 2.9?

Be sure to backup your database and make a backup of the EE files too if you haven’t already just incase.

I’ve upgraded to 2.8.1 and it seems to be pulling the relationship data correctly now. But now I’m getting this error:

Severity: Notice

Message: Undefined index: upload_date

Filename: file/ft.file.php

Line Number: 303

This seems to be happening when I’m pulling image fields from relationship tags. http://innography.tmmhosting.com/solutions/test is an example

As soon as I disable Publisher, these fields work.

Additionally the fields work if I’m pulling the entry data directly instead of via relationship tags

I might have spoken too soon. On another page I’m getting an error from the Publisher NavEE extension

Fatal error: Call to undefined method EE_Functions::remove_double_slashes() in […]public/third_party/publisher_navee/ext.publisher_navee.php on line 285

Looks like I forgot to push code to GitHub. Get the newest version here: https://github.com/litzinger/publisher_navee

Perfecto, thanks!

No problem. I’m going to go ahead and close this thread. If anything else comes up, just create a new one 😊
