Hi,

I’m trying to use template translation into Publisher. But I think I miss something or I didn’t get how it’s supposed to work.

My case :
I have a menu into a separate template that I embed into a main template
{embed="includes/sidebar-about"}

Does template translations handles that ?

Also, I’m confused about how to set it up.

I attached a screenshot of how I set it up so you can help me if I’m wrong.

Thank you.

You don’t use any translations in the templates when referring to a template path. You enter translations in the Publisher > Template Translations page and path variables like your example will be changed to include the translated path so links work correctly. Your templates are pretty much always written using the default language, Publisher handles the rest as long as your entry data exists and you’ve entered translations for your templates.

Actually your example is embedding a template, you don’t need to translate those. Publisher does not mess with those values, it just cares about template names that are appearing in links so the links work properly.

Did you get this figured out?

Closing this because I haven’t heard anything since the initial follow up. If this is still an issue just re-open the ticket or create a new one and reference this one please. Thanks!
