Hi there, I’m using publisher and I have a Matrix set up.  The Matrix fields only appear on the front end under the default language, when I switch the language, no content appears.  Do I have to assign the Matrix fields to the language somewhere?

Thanks,

Sounds like you have the Persistent Matrix setting turned off?

Hi, thanks for your help. Persistant Matrix was switched off, but switching it on hasn’t fixed it. The matrix fields are still only appearing on the default language.

Thanks,

Make the columns searchable.

Hi there, I made the columns searchable, but that didn’t fix it I’m afraid. There was an IF statement around the section to check if the matrix was empty before it showed them. I’ve taken that off and they are now showing on all languages, even though one or two are blank in certain languages. Not ideal, but they’re showing now.

It looks like publisher wasn’t recognising that the matrix was populated in some languages. Very odd.

Thanks again.

Did you resave the entries after making the columns searchable? Doing so should make it work even with the conditional around the Matrix field.

Hi There, I did re save the entry after making the field searchable, but it will only work if I take off the conditionals.

Thanks,

Would you mind sharing some template examples? Two other people had a similar issue, which is fixed in my next release, but setting the matrix columns to searchable (not the matrix field itself, but every column) fixed the issue.

Mark, try the 1.4.1 build. You may have to re-save those entries though.
