I developed a fairly large site for a hospital (2000+ entries) a while back and they now want to add multi-language support, so on Monday we purchased Publisher for use on the site (under the account maven20 on Devot:EE).

On this site, for our “Physician Directory” I use the addon Reefine to provide filtering functionality for users to select a doctor based off a certain specialty or whatnot. You can see it functioning currently live at: http://llumcmurrieta.org/find-a-doctor

When I installed Publisher (locally only, not on a production or staging environment)... even after telling Publisher to ignore the channels here… I’m still having an issue where data stored in Playa fields is displaying in Reefine’s filters are now displaying as what is stored in the DB for Playa, which looks like “[1083] [pediatrics] Pediatrics”.

I have written the developer for Reefine and they do not have time to look into it at the moment, so I’m wondering if maybe the issue might be on Publisher’s side. Here is a link to that discussion: http://devot-ee.com/add-ons/support/reefine/viewthread/9887#44250

To replicate, set up two channels, maybe one called “physicians” and the other called “specialties”. In the physicians channel, create a Playa field with a relationship to the specialties channel.

Configure Reefine to be a listing of the physicians and tell it to use the playa field as a filter. It should display the list of possible filters properly. I have attached screenshots of the expected result and the result after installing Publisher.

Let me if I can help out in any way to get this resolved quicker.

Thanks!

This too isn’t an issue that can be fixed with Publisher. Redefine needs to add Publisher support specifically by changing how it queries the Playa data.

Figured. Ok, thanks. I guess I’ll wait until I hear back from the Reefine developer.

I gifted Ralph a Publisher license to test with.
