Ticket: Google Maps for EE plugin

Hi, when using the Google Maps plugin for EE, I set the latitude & longitude to save to custom fields. When Publisher is de-activated, this works fine. However, when Publisher is active, these fields are not populating with the co-ordinates set when creating a new entry.
Please advise.

Hi, Niall. Sounds like you need to take a look at the Ignored Fields setting.

Thanks. I ignored the fields like you suggested, however, the fields don’t populate with the latitude and longitude information like it does when Publisher is de-activated.

The fields don’t populate in the CP or the front-end?

The fields don’t populate in either the front, or the backend.

Niall, you’ll need to provide FTP access so I can look into this. I don’t have GMaps installed in my dev environment and I don’t have time to setup a scenario in which to re-create the error.

Niall, I just installed Gmaps and tested it with it as an ignored field, and without an ignored field, and it saved the data just fine in all test cases and testing in two languages. Sounds like the issue lies elsewhere? In order for me to spend more time looking into this you’ll need to create a video or take step by step screenshots of what you are seeing. Also, try setting up a clean EE install with only Gmaps and Publisher installed and see if you can replicate it.

I’ll try to get a short video up later today. Thanks for your help btw.
