Ticket: Grid Error

I am getting this error when I submit a new language version of an entry. I have an english version in place, so this is only when I try to add a translation.  Any ideas?

Cheers,

Aaron

I’ve seen this once before, but I’m not sure what is causing it. Are you saving a new entry as published or draft? Or are you saving an existing entry as published or draft?

Do you have the Persistent Matrix field set to yes? (this applies to Grid fields too). Are you adding or removing rows when saving the entry that causes this error?

Persistent matrix is ticked to yes. Editing a draft with no change does nothing, so no error there. This happens when I save a published version of the language directly (with no draft) and for the first time.

So when I have an english version and switch to another language, then publish there. In fact when I go back and hit publish again from a draft, there is no error.

Aaron, I’m still unable to replicate this. I tested in a 2.7 and 2.8 environment. Saved an entry as every pattern I can think of, default lang, non-default lang, save as draft first, then published, save as published first, then draft etc.

Can you submit the support form in the Publisher section so I can see what the rest of your settings are set to?

I sent that on via the control panel. I hope it got to you?

I did, but it didn’t raise any alarms and I’m still unable to replicate this error. I’ve tried all sorts of things. If I’m going to look into it more I’ll need CP and FTP access to your site, or if you can manage to zip up your site with a .sql file and instructions on how to set it up (if its a custom config setup) I can set it up locally and try to replicate the issue.

Give me a day or two to get it off the local setup and somewhere and I will shoot you details. Since the first post, it hasn’t actually occurred again, but I am guessing that doesn’t mean it wont.
