Ticket: Entries created with Publisher enabled force port 443 from the Edit screen

Hi there,
When I create a new Entry in a Channel I have Publisher enabled on I have an issue when attempting to edit that Entry from the Edit Entry listing screen. When clicking on the title of that particular entry, it tries to use port 443 in the Control Panel. See attached.

The status bar of Safari does not indicate the 443 port on the link (see the underlined entry and the status bar at the bottom). But when that link is clicked it results in the Safari error. I’m having the same issue in Chrome.

And, for the record, this is running locally on OS X using MAMP Pro.

Thanks in advance for any help.

Greg

Do you have https: in your site_url settings? This sounds like a config setting. Publisher doesn’t impose https and only uses the EE settings available to it.

Line 1050 of Publisher_session is the only reference to https https://www.evernote.com/shard/s9/sh/e6cfddff-97bf-4b19-8aa6-2c7dbd125f4f/eec393d03de565702a06275971bb92f3

Maybe edit that line and see what happens. Perhaps var_dump($_SERVER[“HTTPS”]) to see what it prints out.

This might take you a few minutes, but since I haven’t had a similar report like this and because it feels like an environment issue, can you setup a clean install of EE with only Publisher installed, then see if you can replicate it.
