Using latest Versions of Structure and Blueprints in fresh install of EE 2.8.1, and Publish Layouts are not saving, and when returning to saved entry the previously checked layout is unchecked: http://screencast.com/t/lG2tgVhr Never had this issue before so guessing it has something to do with new EE 2.8.x.

I just tested with 2.8.1 and it saved just fine. Did you check your javascript console for errors? Disable all other extensions to see if there is conflict.

Thanks for the quick reply! No js errors, I’ll try disabling some extensions.

Are you testing with Structure? And if so do you have Blueprints set up like this? http://screencast.com/t/mhe3wbA3So

I tested on a completely clean 2.8.1 install, nothing else. It looks like your settings are saving, which is what the original report stated. Is it a particular setting that is not saving?

Sorry I should have been more specific. It’s the publish layout settings defined in the publish sidebar that’s not saving (which fields to hide/show per Structure layout). When I edit a page and hide/show specific fields, and save for a specific layout, it updates all of the layouts for that channel instead of just that specific layout, and when I return to the publish page and open the sidebar back up, no layout checkboxes are checked.

Have you tried to save a publish layout with Blueprints disabled? Blueprints just sits on top of the native layouts, so if they aren’t saving correctly there isn’t much I can do about that.

Without Blueprints it would only save the layout per channel, right? That is working correctly, layout is saved upon return to the edit screen. What doesn’t save is the layout per Blueprint template (example: Default vs Product Wall vs Home). I think instead of tearing down what I’ve started for this site, I’ll set up a new install with just Blueprints first, then Structure and see what step/add-on makes it break.

Sweet 😊 was an easy fixed once I realized what was happening. I’ll post the new build to Devot:ee.
