Nov 27, 2013Good morning,
First, I would consider this a high priority, not “critical”.
We recently decided to put Publisher Lite through its paces in lieu of Better Workflow. So far, we’re pretty excited but have a couple things to iron out.
=====
First, the control panel doesn’t seem to recognize that a draft has been deleted. Here are the steps to reproduce:
1. Edit an existing entry.
2. Switch View option to Draft. (We’re using the updated PT Pill field.)
3. Switch Save As option to Draft.
4. Click Save as Draft. (We’re then redirected to the standard, post-publish View Entry screen.)
5. Click Edit this Entry.
We’re then returned to the Edit Entry screen, where the View switch is still set to Draft and the Save As switch is still set to Draft. All of the old draft content remains in the Wygwam (v3.1.2) field. If we then switch the View to Published, we see an alert that, “A more recent draft is available”—i.e. the draft was not deleted.
Please let me know if you have any thoughts here? We definitely want to put Publisher Lite to use, but need to ensure that we’re not introducing any undue confusion for our client.
=====
Second, we found that the Draft highlighting is not working when viewing the channel entires. For example, we have an entry that is published and has a draft version saved. However, the entry is not highlighted in the same was as illustrated here: https://boldminded.com//assets/images/uploads/publisher-entries-list.png. I’ve confirmed that we have installed the third-party theme files.
Any thoughts on what may be going on here?
=====
Thanks in advance for your help, and have a great Thanksgiving.

Chris, I’m trying to catch up on some tickets that came in before the holidays. I’ll take a look at this Sunday or Monday and get back to you.

Chris, this was already fixed in my dev build, and will be released in the next version, probably this week.
Christopher
Thanks so much for the follow-up. We’ll keep an eye out for the release.

Good morning,
I updated to 1.1.1 and deleting drafts now works properly. After deleting a draft, I’m redirected to the entry listing for its channel. Is this the expected behavior?
I’m not, however, seeing styling in place on the entry listings for entries that are published (Open) but have a more recent draft version saved. Can you confirm that this is working for you in 1.1.1? Should I have done anything other than replace the third-party and theme folders when upgrading?
Cheers,
Chris

Yeah, its expected to redirect back to the entry list, though this should probably be changed.
Check your JS console to see if there are any errors on the edit entries list page?

I changed the delete draft and translation behavior in the next release to redirect back to the same entry.

This will be in the 1.1.3 release.
