Ticket: Translated template group & template available in templates?

Hi,
I’d like to use the URL translations feature in order rename the group/templates in the URL.

My typical build in EE embeds the Uri segments in the body tag as class names (eg body class=“blog article” for the URI /blog/article/foo). This allows my to hook into classes for specific page styling on certain pages.

When using URL translations is there a variable that will give me segment_1, but translated into the actual template group name (in my case in English)? This would allow for a template to have consistent body class names, regardless of the language being used?

Also, is there a master list of global variables publisher creates somewhere?

I don’t have a master list, but they are scattered through the docs. I think what you are looking for is {publisher:segment_1}, which will always be the default segment value.
