Hi there,

I’m just wondering if there’s any issues with Publisher and Pixel and Tonics Wygwam?  I’m using Publisher 1.0.3 and Wygwam 2.7.1 . I have two fields, one a Wygwam field, the other a Matrix with a Wygwam field in it.

Publisher translates the text in the Matrix perfectly, but doesn’t translate the text from the plain Wygwam field.

Hopefully it’s just something simple I’ve missed.

Thanks,

There shouldn’t be any issues with Wygwam fields. Its just a normal textarea with CKEditor loaded on top of it. Change the field back to textarea and see if the data saves and displays properly.

Thanks for the reply, no luck I’m afraid. It still don’t translate when I change it to a plain text field. It’s probable something that I’ve missed somewhere.

Its not an ignored field or anything?

No don’t think so. It’s strange, it’s translating everything else, entry titles etc.. Just not this field.

Quick update, think I’ve got it fixed, switching the Translation mode from Development to Production looks to have fixed it.

While that may work its not really the ideal solution. Is there anyway to get FTP and CP access to the site so I can take a look?

Sure, I’ve edited the ticket to include those details. Let me know if you didn’t get them.

Mark, after looking at the News channel (entry id 10) it appears to be working fine. I added DE to the body field in the German entry and it saved fine. I could toggle between the two languages and the data showed. Its working on the front-end too. Remember, if translated data isn’t found for the field it will show the default language text in its place.

Hi Brian,

Thanks for checking into that. Everything does seem to be working ok, I think we can close this. Thanks for your help.
