Η σελίδα ανανεώνεται ή έχει αποσυρθεί παρακαλώ πατήστε στο σύνδεσμο για να πάτε στην αρχική σελίδα του Skopelos Web Site >> http://www.skopelosweb.gr Page not found please visit main page Skopelos Web Site >> http://www.skopelosweb.gr and click on your language

inner pages are working fine for example http://skopelosweb.gr/index.php/hotels/single/alkistis

I have changed the default language to greek, el added another language english, en.

It takes 3 to 5 minutes to enable publisher and it has a sluggish feel after adding the publisher plugin.

I don’t see the page not found error. There was a home page related bug I fixed for the 1.0 release, which is what you could be encountering. I’m going to release it today, lets see if that fixes the issue for you.

As for the speed, yes Publisher has to do additional queries, but it shouldn’t slow the site down significantly. Turn on query debugging and see how many queries are being performed, then disable Publisher (don’t uninstall, just use the disabled setting in Publisher) and then see how many queries are being used. There are also some speed improvements to 1.0 too.

οκ Ι will test the new release, I have disabled publisher in order for the page to be working. Uppon enabling the plugin I get only the message I wrote in the previews message no menu no content nothing. I get the same message on everypage except the single article pages. is there anything I am doing wrong? I uploaded the plugin in system and themes installed it and that’s it do I have to do anything else?

#3

Brian Litzinger

Can you take a screenshot of the message you see?

BTW, I just uploaded 1.0 to Devot:ee, so you can grab it now.

#4

amra01

the same error.

http://skopelosweb.gr/file-01.jpg http://skopelosweb.gr/file-02.jpg

I have updated publisher it gives me version 0.99 inside modules.

#5

Brian Litzinger

I just updated the zip file to show 1.0, you can edit the config.php file and set it to 1.0 instead of re-downloading.

Make sure template debugging is turned on, I want to see if that error page is even generated by EE. I’ve never seen anything like that.

#6

amra01

I have enabled the debugging for the templates updated and I have the plugin working right now do you want access to see inside the admin maybe some other module or something creating a conflict?

#7

BoldMinded (Brian)

If I click the British flag in the top right corner and it takes me to http://www.skopelosweb.gr/skopelos.html

Is http://www.skopelosweb.gr/ running the same version of EE that is at http://skiathosisland.com? I’m confused on the setup here and while I see your screenshots, I can replicate the issue in the browser myself.

#8

amra01

don’t mind the flags on the top corner they don’t work skiathosisland and skopelosweb are two sites of the Multiple Site Manager I am using. skiathosisland is the primary. I have send you all the cp and ftp credentials thanks.

#9

BoldMinded (Brian)

I didn’t get a chance to look into this last night… I’ll try to get to it tonight.

#10

amra01

ok I have edited the ticket and added my data for cp and ftp credentials.

#11

BoldMinded (Brian)

I’m not sure how your site is setup, but this page http://skopelosweb.gr/index.php/ is not even hitting EE.

#12

amra01

I don’t understand what do you mean by “not even hitting EE” I see the website

#13

BoldMinded (Brian)

What is the server path to the files where skopelosweb.gr is located? I don’t see where its located with the FTP info you sent.

#14

BoldMinded (Brian)

My previous comment about not hitting EE was premature. If that site is an MSM site, then the index.php file would be located somewhere else on the server, which I can’t find. I was hoping to take a look at the .htaccess file (if it exists) and do some debugging that index.php file, which is why I asked my previous question of where on the server its located.

#15

amra01

what do you mean by files; the template files? templates/skopelosweb

#16

amra01

index.php for the secondary website skopelosweb.gr is located in folder skopelos.

#17

amra01

any news!

#18

BoldMinded (Brian)

Its loading the 500.html error file, which usually indicates a server side error but I can’t be sure because something is masking all error reporting… I can’t get it to show me what is really wrong.

#19

BoldMinded (Brian)

Can you have your server administrator make the apache and php error log files more easily accessible? Perhaps have them saved to the /home4/skiathos/logs instead of the normal locations?

#20

amra01

i copied from the cpanel the error logs and put it there for you is this ok? it’s a file called errors.txt

#21

BoldMinded (Brian)

That helped a little bit. I did see this which is odd.

[Sat Jun 29 08:47:46 2013] [error] [client 69.204.7.225] Request exceeded the limit of 10 internal redirects due to probable configuration error. Use ‘LimitInternalRecursion’ to increase the limit if necessary. Use ‘LogLevel debug’ to get a backtrace.

But I stopped all redirection that Publisher attempts to do and I still get that 500.html content. I know this only happens when Publisher is enabled, but I really feel like something on the server is misconfigured. None of the usual debugging I’ve done has revealed anything. I’ve yet to see a PHP too.

Have you tried this in a different server environment?

#22

BoldMinded (Brian)

Before I spend more time debugging this can you test it in another environment? If its a possible server configuration issue then I don’t want to waste time debugging the wrong thing.

#23

amra01

Ι can test it on another server on a much earlier version of EE or test it locally on mamp

#24

amra01

I added your plugin on another site http://createjewelry.gr and worked fine with no errors or anything it’s a different website though, what should I do? check my template for errors? start removing plugins? start removing code from header?

#25

amra01

there is a problem with msm skopelosweb.gr template debugging doesn’t work in skiathosisland.com it does work but when enabling it it loses all the js and css. I will try to find the problem with skopelosweb.gr and contact you again.

#26

BoldMinded (Brian)

Did you move the same site, MSM setup and all, to another server and try it? Something like MAMP would make it pretty easy to test.

#27

amra01

Hi can you check if the plugin can work? http://skiathosisland.com/index.php it’s the main site on my msm sites template debugging is working fine here. You already have the data to enter the system. if I enable publisher it crashes both sites on msm.

#28

BoldMinded (Brian)

Did you successfully get this working on a different server yet?

#29

BoldMinded (Brian)

Is http://createjewelry.gr on a different server than http://skiathosisland.com?

#30

amra01

yes it’s on the same hosting company but on a different account and server.

#31

amra01

on createjewelry.gr it’s working fine.

#32

BoldMinded (Brian)

Is that site an MSM site as well? Are you positive they share the same Apache and PHP configurations? Are the site files setup similarly (e.g. the .htaccess, config and index.php files)?

Have you tried the http://skiathosisland.com site locally on MAMP, or another server entirely?

#33

amra01

yes they share the same php and apache configurations they have the same config. no MSM though.

no mamp yet but on skiathosisland you can see the template debugging when I enable it. it loses the css and when but it seems to be working at the same time skopelosweb.gr doesn’t work at all and it gives some php errors.

#34

BoldMinded (Brian)

I’m going to have to ask that you spend time testing the site on MAMP or a completely different server before I look into this more. I’ve already spent several hours debugging on your server and got no where with it, so if its something server specific then we need to determine that by testing on other servers. If you want to zip up the entire site including an .sql database dump so I can install it locally I can test it too, but given the current state of things I can’t debug it on the live server anymore.

#35

amra01

ok I will test it locally on Mamp and there is a posibility to change servers so I can test it there to.

#36

BoldMinded (Brian)

Any updates on this?

#37

amra01

Ι will know today how is it going on the new server with more memory available.

#38

BoldMinded (Brian)

Closing this ticket. Its really old and I haven’t heard any updates in a long while. I’m still not convinced its a Publisher specific issue though… the server configuration seemed off.
