Is there a way I can edit or style the email notifications being sent to editors?

I would like to change the subject in the deny approval section and add some default text that would surround the reason for denial.

Also, can I automatically send a notification to the editor when a draft has been approved?

Thanks

Hi Allison. All of these should be available in the settings page unless I’m mistaken in reading your question? https://www.evernote.com/shard/s9/sh/49d2b52c-d23f-416a-b43a-b1d42521968e/d16149608b9808b2a1e3ecf204d57be3

Hi Brian

Sorry, maybe I am using the wrong terminology. The notifications on the settings seem to be for the site admins. I am looking to amend the notifications for the members who are updating an entry but who do not have publishng rights.

So things like the email that is sent when a draft is denied and an automatic update to the member when the draft has been approved.

The two most requested features I’ve had are to have translated URLs, and more email notification types/rules. The first one has been solved, so next on the list is notifications. Unfortunately I probably won’t have anything new for this for a few more weeks. I’ve intentionally left the notifications simple because every request I’ve had for it thus far have been different. Its just one of those things that varies greatly from project to project. I’ve already added a couple hooks to expand upon this as a separate add-on, and can always add more if needed, because this is something I definitely don’t want adding more complexity to the core code base. As much as I’d like to bang out a patch for you I’m hesitant to do so b/c I want to approach this in a way that is flexible for everyone.

Just an update on this. I’ve started stubbing out a new extension that will allow for a lot more control over email notifications. It will be sold separately as a stand-alone extension since I never intended on having detailed/complicated notification rules in Publisher. I hope to have something ready to preview in the next 2 to 3 weeks, and I’ll send you the first beta copy to test.

Thanks for this. I look forward to seeing what you come up with!

FYI, this is going to be getting pushed back a bit. EE 2.7 introduces a new fieldtype and other changes that are critical to getting resolved during the dev preview.
