I have “Diff Enabled (CP)” set to yes and the default “Diff - by Chris B” selected, but I’m not seeing anything “next to each field on the publish page in the CP”.

I’ve tried it with style set to full and text only, on a number of different fieldtypes.

Am I missing something?

What sort of field is it?

#2

Timothy Kelty

I tried it with:

  • title field
  • wygwam
  • text input

Each custom field needs to be enabled, there is a checkbox on the field settings page. Diffs also only show when you’re viewing the draft, not the published/open version.

doh! I knew it was me. Thanks.

BoldMinded (Brian)

No problem

#6

Timothy Kelty

Ok, sorry to keep pestering you but-

Now that I tried that, I notice that when I save my fields, non of the Publisher settings stick.

#7

BoldMinded (Brian)

Are there any rows in the publisher_diff_settings table?

#8

Timothy Kelty

Nothing, doesn’t appear to be getting saved at all.

#9

BoldMinded (Brian)

That is indeed strange.

#10

BoldMinded (Brian)

wait, do you have the Accessory enabled?

#11

BoldMinded (Brian)

Tim, is there anyway for me to get CP access to take a look at this?

#12

Timothy Kelty

Weird, I installed the 0.98.8 you sent me and now they the publisher block doesn’t show at all on the field edit screen.

This is EE 2.5.5, I tried it with a 2.6 install and the block showed up but still wouldn’t save. I’ll get you access for both.

#13

BoldMinded (Brian)

Tim, does 0.98.8 have any affect on this issue?

#14

Timothy Kelty

It didn’t.

I have Publisher on 2 installs.

The credentials on this issue are for 2.6, and in that case, the publisher settings in the field edit screen don’t save.

The creds for this issue (http://boldminded.com/support/ticket/466), is a 2.5.5 install, and in that case, the publisher block doesn’t show up at all in the field edit screen.

The Taggable module is throwing a JS error on the field settings pages, so its killing the JS that Publisher is adding to the page to get the custom settings to show.

Fixed those here, thanks: https://github.com/timkelty/taggable/commit/362db55677897d977766df9a0d4cdd281d697544
