Hi, I’m not sure if this issue has been fix from a previous post: https://boldminded.com/support/ticket/2680

When there is a relationship within a grid, even though it allows to select which field to relate it doesn’t seem to work, when you edit the configration of the import it reverts back to Title and not the field I selected.

Hi Kevin. I’m going to need more info before I can look into this… screenshots of your config, a small sample of the import file, etc.

Are you using Publisher?

Hi Brian, Yes I am using publisher.

Unfortunately you’ve run into something that I could not get working. I even have a comment in the code // This works, but not if Publisher is installed :(

I spent quite a bit of time trying to figure out what was going on and could not get to the bottom of it.

Do you have the Publisher DataGrab extension installed too?

#7

Kevin Chatel

Yes we are using the extension and it works fine with publisher_lang_id and publisher_status. Relationships work fine when its a main field in the entry, however in a grid it doesn’t work at all.

Unfortunately this is something I don’t know when, or if, I can fix. I can replicate the issue, but I can’t pinpoint where the issue is or how to fix it.

Kevin, I made a discovery while investigating your other ticket that may lead to fixing this issue, but it’ll be a few days until I can find time to double check. In the mean time you could try importing again with the Publisher build I sent in the other ticket and it might work now.

Hi I tested the build. it doesn’t seem to work. the related field doesn’t seem to stick to the field i selected, when I go back into the datagrab import its reverts back to Title. So what I’m doing is importing old entries and setting a field called OldEntryID with the previous entry id, then in datagrab in the relationshiip I’m trying to select the old entry id as the match.

Can you please share a screenshot of what you’re talking about, it’s hard to follow without visuals.
