All add-ons currently require PHP 7.4 or greater.

On July 4th 2024 PHP 8.2 will be the new minimum requirement for all add-ons. Expect any add-on released after that date to require 8.2 or greater. Some releases may not immediately take advantage of 8.x specific features in PHP, which means you might, be able to continue using new releases in PHP 7.4, however, if you experience an error the first thing you should do is update to PHP 8.2 then create a support ticket if the error persists.

Ticket: Best practice for upgrading from EE 4.3.4/DG 3.0.3 to EE 7.x / DG 5.x

Hello,

I’ve read through the upgrade instructions but have a few questions about upgrading from DataGrab 3.0.3 to DataGrab 5.x for an EE Upgrade from EE 4.3.4 to EE 7.x:

The upgrade instructions seem to be specific to DataGrab 4. Should I be able to use those instructions to update from 3.0.3 to 5.x with the 5.x files or will I need to try to find a copy of DG 4?

Will I be able to update from DG 3.0.3 after updating to EE 7.x or do I need to do something while in EE 4.3.4 before moving to EE 7?

The current site is running under PHP 7.2. What version of PHP should I be running when attempting the update from DG 3.0.3 to latest?

Thanks in advance…

C

I think the instructions for upgrading DG apply regardless of which EE version you have.
