All add-ons currently require PHP 7.4 or greater.

On July 4th 2024 PHP 8.2 will be the new minimum requirement for all add-ons. Expect any add-on released after that date to require 8.2 or greater. Some releases may not immediately take advantage of 8.x specific features in PHP, which means you might, be able to continue using new releases in PHP 7.4, however, if you experience an error the first thing you should do is update to PHP 8.2 then create a support ticket if the error persists.

Publisher does not support the Fluid field type. Please do not contact asking when support will be available.

Ticket: Error after Bloqs update - Site does not show if not loged in

Status Resolved
Add-on / Version Bloqs 5.0.10
Severity
EE Version 7.3.5

The site is on EE 7.3.5. I updated Bloqs, Publisher and Simple Grids to the latest version. Now the index page shows this error instead of the site. But if we are logged in in the browser, the page shows correct. Only when not logged in, the usual visitor will see the error.

Error Caught
Call to a member function getAllRoles() on null
App.php:195

Some url’s of the site do show, but index and some others do not. It must have to do with the updates. But which one I cannot tell.

What can I do to make the site running normal?

Can you share the full stack trace?

I can not see more than that. When I am logged in the error is not there. Now I have started a restore of files and db. The customer wants the site running ok. Just see the site running with older versions of the 3 mentioned add-ons.

Just a quick spot check tells me that line 195 of App.php could not be throwing that error, unless you have an older version of one of my add-ons somewhere. Double check that all add-ons are up-to-date.

Also double check that all files from the zip files updated properly too. Line 223 is the nearest line in that file that could possibly be throwing that error.

We have restored to yesterday’s situation. There we have updated EE to 7.3.5 and with Publisher 3.9.1 there seems to be a problem. Will write new ticket for it in a couple of minutes. For the moment this ticket can be closed.
