hi brian,

i don’t know if it’s a bug that has to do with publisher, but since it only appears on our bilingual website when the english version is accessed, i thought i’d ask you if the error message tells you something and you could at least tell us a direction where the bug came from.

Accessing the German language version (primary language) of the site works fine, as do all other pages on the site, German and English. Only this one page generates this error message:

—————
Error
You have an invalid conditional in your template. Please review your conditionals for an unclosed string, invalid operators, a missing }, or a missing {/if}.
Parser State: Unexpected ‘s’ (VARIABLE); expected RD in Template “veranstaltungen/index” on line 5.
—————

Since I can’t look at the source code of this page but only see the code of the error page, I don’t know what is in line 5. And everything we have in the templates in line 5, I have tried to narrow down by deleting it. Without success.

Thank you
and kindest regards,
Matthias

Have you tried backing up your database, uninstalling Publisher, and then seeing if the issue still happens? If it still happens without Publisher installed, then it’s not a Publisher issue. If it does not happen when Publisher is installed, then I’ll need to see the full template code, but even then I don’t know if having me just look at it will help. It sounds like you have tried removing parts of the template to isolate the issue, but you can probably do more before I take a look at it. Keep simplifying the template until you determine which line of code it is in the template. If you can’t determine which line of code it is, then I probably won’t be able to determine it just by looking at the template.
