Ticket: english translations not showing up in one channel

hi there,

we have a strange bug on a little website that uses publisher to translate the content.
first language is german, second language is english.

but in one channel the translations are not showing up at all.
I already deleted to whole channel and created a new one but the results are the same.

in addition to that status icons sometimes don’t show that there is a translated version even if there is one.
you can see this behaviour in the attached screenshot – both entries have germn as well as an english version.

the provided url links directly to the page/channel which only show the german versions of the entry. if you switch to english no entries are shown. all other pages/channels function flawlessly.

kindest regards,
matthias

What has changed recently? Did this work with an older version of Publisher then stop working when you upgraded? What is your Persistence settings in Publisher’s config?

this version of the website is new, so I can’t comment on any changes. the older version also used publisher, but was on ee2 and had a completely difference architecture.

the persistence settings are all three “on”.

Does this happen only in the CP? What happens on the front-end?

Matthias Ballmann

this happens ONLY on the frontend. the provided url shows you the page where the german versions are functioning normal and as soon as you switch to english nothing appears:

http://www.inrigo.eu/projektbeispiele http://www.inrigo.eu/en/projektbeispiele

(the introduction text comes from another channel)

Are you able to provide FTP access to this site so I can debug it?

So, var_dump() does not work on your server, so debugging is very hard. I don’t know what is up with your server config, but I can’t really make heads or tails of this without being able to var_dump(). I even tried to write the output to a cache file and it didn’t work either. Try making sure errors are enabled: https://stackoverflow.com/a/21429652

You needed dynamic=”no” on your entries tag.

{exp:channel:entries channel="projektbeispiele" orderby="title" sort="asc" dynamic="no"}
