Ticket: Native EE backend search and Low Search can’t search Bloqs field

Description:

We have a Wygwam field within Bloqs that doesn’t seem to be searchable.

Initially, we investigated this issue by targeting Low Search. We sent a support ticket which I’ll share.

This hospital website stores a myriad of medical terms and definitions. A simple backend search of ‘encephalomyelitis’ yields zero results, but that term plainly exists.

Determined that Structure’s after_channel_entry_save() hook is somehow part of, or causing the problem. Bloqs and Low Search alone work fine. As soon as Structure is in the mix, it actually causes the removal of the concatenated data from the bloqs field in the database.

This was fixed in 2.7.10, wasn’t Structure’s fault, just another really random thing.
