All add-ons currently require PHP 7.4 or greater.

On July 4th 2024 PHP 8.2 will be the new minimum requirement for all add-ons. Expect any add-on released after that date to require 8.2 or greater. Some releases may not immediately take advantage of 8.x specific features in PHP, which means you might, be able to continue using new releases in PHP 7.4, however, if you experience an error the first thing you should do is update to PHP 8.2 then create a support ticket if the error persists.

Ticket: CSM 2.5 causes white-screen-of-death when updating to EE 2.11.5

EE Version 2.11.5

I just updated EE 2.10.1 and was presented by a white screen of death. I managed to disable all extensions to narrow it down to CSM: disabling the extension directly in the database meant that I was able to get the site up and running again.

I wanted to see if CSM 2.5.1 or 2.5.2 works with 2.11.5, but I can’t find anywhere to download versions older than that for EE3. Can you let me know if 2.11.5 is in fact not supported? If it is, can you send me a copy of a later version for me to try?

The issue has been fixed with a newer version of CSM. Latest version is 2.6.2. You’ll need to download that version.

CSM for EE2 and EE3 are available in the same download zip file, so if you renew or purchase the EE3 license you’ll get the EE2 one as well.

So I need to re-purchase the software again in order to get the update? That doesn’t seem right to me, since I only need the minor updates, not the EE3 version?

A normal renewal should do it. It’s the same product in my system, I just stopped advertising the EE2 compatibility. If you upgrade to 3 you will already have the right version.

Sorry I’m confused 😊

The point is, I don’t want the EE3 version, I simply want the latest EE2 version, for which I have already paid the license fee for, but I cannot find where I can download it?

The add-on is the same product in my site. If you look at your account you will see that the version you have needs a renewal. Paying for that renewal will get you the EE2 and EE3 version. For simplicity sake they are packaged together. The side benefit is you just happen to get the EE3 version as well.

I am still not happy with your response: I feel you’re asking me to pay for a license again for something I have already purchased.

This is the email you sent some time ago: https://cl.ly/iy05 - I should be able to retrieve my downloads from my account, but I can’t.

Please can you rectify this situation asap by allowing me to download the latest EE2 version of the plugin. Please do not ask me to purchase the plugin again when it isn’t necessary - this feels like extortion.

Daniel, if you read the last sentence of that email it is referring to the timed downloads feature on Devot:ee, which is the same feature I’ve carried over to my site. If you visit the add-ons page https://boldminded.com/add-ons/csm you will see the notification at the bottom about the renewal fee, and here is the reason for renewal fees https://boldminded.com/renewals. CSM’s renewal is $15. You originally purchased it in 2011 according to my records. Thats 6 years of usage, and since then many updates have been performed on the add-on that you will now benefit from.

This is not extortion. I’m not asking you to pay full price again for the add-on. This is an upgrade fee, which has been in place on Devot:ee and then my site for quite some time.
