All add-ons currently require PHP 7.4 or greater.

On July 4th 2024 PHP 8.2 will be the new minimum requirement for all add-ons. Expect any add-on released after that date to require 8.2 or greater. Some releases may not immediately take advantage of 8.x specific features in PHP, which means you might, be able to continue using new releases in PHP 7.4, however, if you experience an error the first thing you should do is update to PHP 8.2 then create a support ticket if the error persists.

Hi

I am having issues with the delete translation for entries

If i delete a translation for an entry this works fine. The reason i am doing this is because i want to reset the translation for an en entry

Then i go back and create the translation it doesnt take the content form default english version but seems to use the previously delete content which is different.

How to replicate:

Go to content -> edit _> home
There is 1 entry called home
Click into this
Delete the translation for French
Then go back into this and select france.
The content it displays is different to the default language

When you delete a translation should this be cleared from the db?

Thanks

Cameron, you seem to be having some odd issues with this site that others are not reporting as issues. This, NavEE, and the template saving issue. Have you tried any of these on a different server? Perhaps with a different version of php, apache config, and MySQL config? Try something like a puphpet.com vagrant box… it’s really easy to setup.

I just tested locally and it is deleting translations correctly. Do you have a draft of the entry you are trying to delete the translation from? Deleting the translation of an open/published version of an entry does not delete the translation of the draft too, so if you’re seeing different content, you could be seeing the draft.

Hi

I will try and and get the website set up on a different server but the server that the current site on is the one that the live site will be on. I have no control over this

We are not using drafts .

I if delete a translation it says its deleted but when i go to create a new translation the content that is populated is old content and not the content from the default en live version.

Did you test on the dev site details i sent you?

Yes I just tested on your dev site. I created a Finnish translation of the home page, which creates a draft and open version of that translation. I deleted the translation of the open version and it left the draft version, which is what you’re seeing when you view the entry again. Its working as intended.

could you test this on the french translation?

I am going to disable drafts are we are not going to use this option

If you delete the french translation and then try and recreate it the content is different

Thanks

hi

did you get a chance to test om the french translation?

I didn’t test with the French version. It shouldn’t matter bc publisher doesn’t care what the language is, it functions the same. I’m 100% certain it’s working as expected and this is not a bug.
