All add-ons currently require PHP 7.4 or greater.

On July 4th 2024 PHP 8.2 will be the new minimum requirement for all add-ons. Expect any add-on released after that date to require 8.2 or greater. Some releases may not immediately take advantage of 8.x specific features in PHP, which means you might, be able to continue using new releases in PHP 7.4, however, if you experience an error the first thing you should do is update to PHP 8.2 then create a support ticket if the error persists.

Hi Brian

I have a website with the languages de, en, cn and th (not yet showed live) for the domain goldstueck.ch. The client reserved the domain goldstueck.cn too and wants now an addon domain for goldstueck.cn

How can I do this in EE and Publisher? Is this possible? Should i use ‘Publisher - Domain Control’?

I made once a project with 3 languages and different domains and used your ‘Publisher - Domain Control’. Every language had her own domain.
This worked very well.

Thanks for any idea and help.

Yes, it sounds like you need the Domain Control add-on for what you’re trying to do.

Ok. But in the addon there are four fields/inputs to fill in an url. Can I leave three of them blank or what do I have to fll in these I don’t want as addon domains?

Can I just put http://www.goldstueck.cn in the field for CN language?

You probably want to fill out all 4 fields, but for the one that isn’t live just put the default language url in it so it redirects to the default language site instead.

If goldstueck.cn is your default language, then put that into all 4 fields. Personally I have not tested the add-on with leaving fields blank, so I’m not 100% sure what it will do. If you already have a copy of the code, install it into your other site and see what happens.

It wasn’t really developed with this use case in mind, so if it isn’t working for you as is then it may mean you’ll need to rely on server configuration or $config overrides. Try searching the tickets for guidance. Other people have done similar things. E.g.
