All add-ons currently require PHP 7.4 or greater.

On July 4th 2024 PHP 8.2 will be the new minimum requirement for all add-ons. Expect any add-on released after that date to require 8.2 or greater. Some releases may not immediately take advantage of 8.x specific features in PHP, which means you might, be able to continue using new releases in PHP 7.4, however, if you experience an error the first thing you should do is update to PHP 8.2 then create a support ticket if the error persists.

The problem I have appears to be the same a the one described in this ticket: https://boldminded.com/support/ticket/1301

This is where I attempt to login or out of the website which produces this error:

A PHP Error was encountered
Severity: Notice
Message: Undefined property: EE::$TMPL
Filename: session_variables/pi.session_variables.php
Line Number: 87

If I remove this plugin from the template I then get:

A PHP Error was encountered
Severity: Notice
Message: Undefined property: EE::$TMPL
Filename: stash/ext.stash.php
Line Number: 539

After reading the EE3 solution within the ticket, I thought I’d try tried copying the output_show_message() function from the EE version 3 to. I found that copying the whole function resolves the problem and works great.

Many thanks
Sy

Ok, thanks for the report. I’ll make this change to the 2.x version too.
