All add-ons currently require PHP 7.4 or greater.
On July 4th 2024 PHP 8.2 will be the new minimum requirement for all add-ons. Expect any add-on released after that date to require 8.2 or greater. Some releases may not immediately take advantage of 8.x specific features in PHP, which means you might, be able to continue using new releases in PHP 7.4, however, if you experience an error the first thing you should do is update to PHP 8.2 then create a support ticket if the error persists.
Publisher does not support the Fluid field type. Please do not contact asking when support will be available.

Apr 23, 2016the ee-base here in germany is pretty small because most websites need multi-language-support which is not native within ee. therefor it’s very difficult for us to establish ee as a cms-solution to clients because many more popular systems have some sort of multi-language-support.
we had some success using publisher on ee2 but since most of these clients want to upgrade to ee3 because of the much better backend (faster, more pleasent, responsive) we are stuck without a solution because publisher is not compatible with ee3. therefor these clients want to change their website to wordpress or the (in germany very popular) typo3/neos.
therefor we need to know when or if publisher will be released for ee3, better sooner than later if we should have a chance to preserve the little ee-fanbase here in germany.

It will be released for EE3, but its still 2-3 months out. Its a lot of work to do.
