Description: Errors on saving an existing Draft occur and in some cases the content (text/uploads) which was made on the first Draft attempt was not present opening the Draft entry again, ie lost, this is worrying the client that their edits won’t be saved and may also affect live edits. The site supplied below (access to CP) is a dev site not used by the client - for your access) - although the live site is here: https://www.littleunicorndaynurseries.co.uk - the errors affects both sites as same EE install and add-on install and same hosting co.

Detailed steps to reproduce the issue:
1. Save existing Draft entry again as Draft – see Channel: ‘About’ / entry: ‘my test’
2. Also sometime happens when trying to upload a PDF file to the Channel: ‘information downloads’ using the ‘downloads’ publish tab, same error
3. The problem is – and I can’t replicate this but happened during client skype screen share is that she saved an entry as a draft then resaved the entry as a Draft and the content had gone from the entry and was claimed that also removed the content from the published entry although that could be the not checking the Draft and assuming it was correct and then saving as a Published entry

If you have a local/dev environment, backup the database, un-install LV, and see if the error still happens, then restore the db. Let me know if the error occurs then.

Its going to be few days until I get this fixed due to the holidays. I’ll do what I can, but don’t expect anything until the week of the 28th.

I can’t CC people on ticket updates. You can change your profile email to that address tough in your account.

I fixed the error, can you take a look and test to see if everything is working as expected?

You’re welcome.

Just grab the third_party/publisher folder from your dev site and copy it to the live. This fix will be in the next release later this week.

Theme folder doesn’t need to be copied. Existing entries should be fine. This is only a file change, db was not changed in any way for the fix.
