Sep 25, 2015Description:
I have an API key entered, and I can see “successful” API calls in my Google dev screen. However, nothing loads in the entry. I only see a spinning icon.
What can I do to diagnose this problem?
BoldMinded (Brian)
what do you mean Google dev screen? What do you get in your Console’s Network tab as the response for the requests?
Sean
Thanks for the response.
I was referring to the Google Developers Console. This is my first time using this interface, but I do see what looks like requests being registered. However, there is a ‘0’ count under the Success (2xx) Response Codes.
I have tried entering a number of URLs, the YouTube ID (from the end of the URL), and generic terms. Non of these seems to resolve within the EE entry screen.

Can you share with me the YouTube videos you’re searching for so I can try to replicate locally?
Sean
Sure. Right now, I’m using a video that had previously been posted to the site using the old version of the plugin:

I wasn’t able to replicate this. The video seemed to load fine for me. https://www.dropbox.com/s/nzcdlsklgnhhfk2/Screenshot 2015-09-28 15.36.14.png?dl=0

It seems that the plug in was working with the www. version of the site, but not on the non-www URL. I’ve changed the hatches file to always use www, any the plugin seems to be working.

Ah, yeah. I’ve seen that be an issue before with JS requests. Glad its working now 😊 I’ll go ahead and close this one.
