That is quite the upgrade. I’m not sure of anyone else making a jump that large, but, that isn’t to say it can’t be done. There are update methods that should be run to keep the database updates relevant. I would suggest not doing the updates on a production site. Do it locally or in dev, and make a backup of your database before you start. I can’t think of anything that would arise, b/c like I said it should just work.

Thanks for your quick response! So would it be as simple as overwriting the files? Is there a place I need to go or click on to initiated the upgrade so that any database fields are updated?

Login to the CP and go to the Modules list page. Update the files on the server, then click the Run Updates button in the upper right of the Modules page. That is the part that initializes the database updates.

The reason for this upgrade is for some odd reason on your production site, when a user selects any language (ES or FR) besides English, the page the are trying to go to continues to loop and cause the browser to give a too many redirects error. It’s odd because nothing on the site changed and it just started doing this on any language besides English.

That is strange that it would suddenly start doing that. Was the server recently upgraded? Anyway, there were some redirect bugs like that in early versions, so upgrading should most definitely fix that at least.

Ok, great! Thanks Brian I will try that! Yes, I think that our guys made an upgrade to the server that may have caused this. I will test the upgrade and see if this resolves it. Thanks for your help.
