Description:
I have a matrix field in a channel. In English, it has 5 items. In Spanish, it has multiple duplicated items, a total of 18 currently.

I was using Publisher 1.6.5 until today. I upgraded to 1.6.6, but the problem persists. I can’t delete the extra rows, either, so I’m stuck.
I’d like the issue resolved and the extra data cleaned up.
Detailed steps to reproduce the issue:
1. Go to

3. Save it.

1) But I’ve always had persistence turned on – so why did I end up with all these extra, duplicated rows in other languages?
2) If I turn off persistence now to be able to delete the extra rows, will that be the end of my problems?

I don’t know why you have duplicated rows, just saying you can’t delete the rows in the non-default languages b/c of persistence. Turning it off won’t necessarily delete the problem, but feel free to test. I’ll do some testing locally to see if I can replicate it.

Are you editing the open/published version of the entry and saving to published, or saving to draft? Or are you editing a draft and saving it to open/published? I need to know what the state of the publisher bar at the top of the entry is in to replicate this.

OK. I turned “Persistent Matrix/Grid?” to no, and I’ll be fixing stuff. 😊

Yeah, I’m not sure what is happening. I wasn’t able to replicate the issue with persistence turned on or off. You may have to create a fresh EE environment with only Publisher and Matrix installed to re-create and see if its still an issue then, and maybe provide a screencast. Sometimes words aren’t enough, seeing a video may show me something that you may not be able to describe or know what to describe.
