Description:
Hi there, I installed a new build but now the grid items keep duplicating.
I have a multi-lingual channel called ‘sliders’ and they contain a grid with items called ‘slides’.
Whenever I save the slider, all the slides in the grid duplicate. When I save again, they duplicate again.
Now I already have 24 slides (instead of three) in my grid.

I added slides to the ignore-list in Publisher Settings, now they do not duplicate anymore. But I don’t want to ignore the slides because I need them to be multi-lingual.

The client is late (with adding content) and they are really frustrated because we might not make the deadline and I hope you can save my day.. we can’t permit bugs like this (even though they are not our fault)..

Thanks for report but I won’t be able to fix this today. What version did you upgrade from? Are you positive all the files were proper updates because I fixed this issue in 1.6.6 or 1.6.5. Please post your settings page, I need to know what they are set to before I can do anything. Use the support form in the publisher menu. If this didn’t occur in the previous build you had just revert to that for now.

You also didn’t provide steps to replicate. Are you in the default language or not? Are you viewing a draft and saving as published? Or published saving as draft? Or published saving as published?

My bad. Try to remove some slides from the homepage-slider and save, they will duplicate..

What is the status of the entry when you are editing it, and what status are you saving it as? Look at the Publisher bar at the top of the entry. This is the most important part of replicating this.

Also, still need to know if its the default language or non-default language you’re saving the entry in.

Try setting the Persistent Matrix/Grid setting to Yes. Did you mean to turn that off?

The issue appears to be happening since you turned off Drafts, and turned off the syncing of drafts. The first and last setting need to be set to the current values. If you change them to the opposite values it does not work. This gives me something to look into and test with locally to fix the issue, but for now you’ll need to leave the settings this way.
