Ticket: Dutch translator can still edit the English version

Description:
First of, hat off to you. First time I work with EE in years and your add-on is very good. I bought Publisher & Publisher Language Control. The client has an English website (default) and a few translators. He wants the translators to be in charge of just one language. I assigned a member group to the Dutch language. The Dutch publisher (that’s the name of the Member Group) can now edit the Dutch version, but the problem is he can also edit the English version (something we don’t want).

The language selector in the Dutch Page editor has two options: ’—Select—’ and ‘Dutch’. If the Dutch Publisher does not select ‘Nederlands’ (Dutch, second option), he can edit the English version of the page. Is it possible to completely disable the English version for the Dutch publisher?

I now built a quick-fix with Javascript which automatically selects the second option if the language selector (.publisher-view-language) has only two options. This works but is not ideal.

Detailed steps to reproduce the issue:
1. Create a new language
2. Assign this language to a new member (group)
3. Log-in as this user
4. The user can now edit both the default language as well as the new language

Thanks for the report. I’ll try to look into it this week, but may not be resolved until next week.

Thank you, this works (almost) perfectly. After I publish a post as a Dutch publisher, I still get the option to:

Edit this post in English Edit this post in Dutch Edit this post in French

The moment I refresh, it just says:

Edit this post

Is this the same issue perhaps?

Lourens, I have this fixed for publishing entries, but am running into issues fixing the display of categories and phrases. I’ll spend some more time this week trying to fix it. Just wanted to give you an update.
