Ticket: After switch to non default language, default URLs show that language

Aug 17, 2015I have 2 languages: English (default) & Irish.
I’m using standard URLs (no prefix) for the English version & /ga/ for the Irish version URLs.
I can view the Irish version of a page by either using the language switcher link (which translates the current page & updates all nav to point to URLs with /ga/ prefix) or by inserting /ga/ into the browser URL bar directly.
But once I do this, I’m finding that all standard site URLs (without any prefix), which I thought should still show the default English version, always show the Irish version instead, until I click the default language switcher link.
Is this how it should work? Is there any way to change this so that only URLs with /ga/ in them show the Irish version?
My Publisher settings are:
Force default language: no
Get language from browser: yes
Enable URL translations: yes (have also tried no)
Add URL prefix: yes
Add URL prefix to home: yes
Hide prefix for default language: yes
Thanks for your time.

Can you share a link to where I can see this happening?
