I’ve made changes in the draft version of a entry, however when I view the diff file only changes it non-matrix custom fields are being diffed correctly.
The content within a matrix field is not being diffed at all, just being output with a weird string of characters. Any ideas what could be going on?

Those characters are placeholder tokens in the new parser. Not sure what is going on. May be a few days before I can dive into this though.

I added a new diff driver library, so in your settings try changing it to the FineDiff option. It seems to handle HTML better.
