I’m going to need more information before I can assist with this.

Did you try removing index.php? Does it work then? Did you uninstall/disable all other add-ons? Are you using the native search or another search? You didn’t provide a URL to replicate the issue. Please provide template code used to render the search form, and results page.

I am using the native search, and i did try to remove index.php in channel path settings .. Search Results URL it WORKS!, now i have notice another this, my selected categories are not reflected in the entries, this means no categories are selected within all entries.

Good that the url works, but I don’t know what you mean by categories are selected. Can you take screenshots of what you’re seeing?

Have you tried upgrading to 1.6.4 and testing?

  1. Yes i have tried 1.6.4 and id didn’t solve, however i know now that there was a time i disabled publisher and continued put new entries.. thereafter on enabling it the new entries categories were unselected, and also didn’t recognize them as new entries in default language, i had to reopen them and select the categories again.

  2. I had to revert to 1.6.3 as i notice also that on switching to another language, the entries disappear…., if “No Chinese translation found. Displaying English content where available”, is NOT Working. in the front end.

  3. What should i use? if in my template i am having {last_segment_category_name}, category=”{segment_category_ids} etc

1 That behavior seems expected. It may be fixable, but it could be a few weeks before I can spend time with that scenario specifically.

2 You just described a front-end and back-end behavior at the same time. “No Chinese translation found. Displaying English content where available” is only displayed in the admin publish page. Are you saying it does not display the English content as a fallback when there is no Chinese translation? You said “in the front end” - what are you referring to? Is the front-end not displaying English content as a fallback when there is no Chinese translation as well? Did you simplify your template? Or try creating a new template with ONLY 1 entries tag and no other tags (Stash or whatever), just display the title and a couple of content fields in the entries tag.

3 Use category IDs if you’re using the category=”” parameter in the entries tag, it’ll be more reliable. It sounds like you’re using my URL Helper extension as well?
