Ticket: Publisher Domain Control breaks EE’s publish page

Status Resolved
Add-on / Version Publisher Domain Control 1.0.0
Severity
EE Version 2.10.1

I’ve just installed Publisher Domain Control and it seems to break EE’s entry publish page. After installing it, and going to publish an entry I get:

An Error Was Encountered
Unable to load the requested file: toolbar.php

I’ve tried with and without filling out its URL settings. If I disable or uninstall Publisher Domain Control the publish screen works again, including Publisher itself.

Thanks, Frank

Thanks – that new version you sent does fix this. One more question: Does {exp:publisher:languages} not work if you’re using Publisher Domain Control? I’m getting strange results from it using the following code:

<ul>
{exp:publisher:languages}
 <li>{long_name} ({short_name})</li>
{/exp:publisher:languages}
</ul>

I’ve set up three languages, en-uk (this is the default), en-us and de.

Viewing the default UK version of the site I get four list items that look like this:

English (US) (en-us) English (en-uk) English (UK) (en-uk) German (de)

Viewing the US or German versions I get:

(en-us) (en-uk) (en-uk) German (de)

… So both have an extra UK version coming up (I checked the exp_publisher_languages table in the database and there are only 3 there) and the non-default ones don’t display the long_name for some of the languages.

Any idea what might be the issue? I could obviously hard-code a language switcher to change the TLD but would be nice to automate it if possible. Thanks!

Sounds like you need to enter phrases for the language names. E.g. translate the language name itself. Check out Phrases > Languages group
