Ticket: Snippets not showing in EE

Hello,

I’m scratching my head over an issue with snippet sync.  I have 2 sites underneath MSM.  Snippet sync is working correctly for 2 out of the 3 sites.  But for a third that’s in development, EE is not showing site-specific snippets.  Locally, the snippets work.  And for this site, shared snippet are showing.

Is this symptom of singe license vs. developer license? I’m happy to buy if so.  Or is there something else that might be the issue?

Thanks,

Colin

Colin, that sounds like more like a file permissions issue than anything.

If everything works fine locally, but a staging/dev/live that is using the same code, it definitely sounds like a issue with the server. Check the permissions on the folders and files, with SSH or FTP.

Colin, please reply in the thread, not directly to the email. Other customers can’t search my inbox.

At this point all I can recommend is to try the site on a 3rd server and see what happens.

Try uninstalling then reinstalling the extension.

This worked!

So it was a timestamp issue. EE saves the last modified date for a snippet in the db and does a comparison check, so when you uploaded files it might have changed the modified date to a newer date, thus it thought there was nothing to change in the files.
