Hello,

This is just a general question, even before we started out with this project. I just wanted to check something:

We are going to use Channel Forms to let guest authors write simple entries from outside EE and want to use Publisher so a editor can edit and approve/deny the entries. I know you can notify an author of a entry by email from within Publisher when a post he/she wrote is denied/approved. Is this also possible for guest posts?
The guest probably won’t have there e-mail connected to them in EE itself, but we will be asking for their contact-information and store it within the entry.

Any idea if Publisher is capable of doing something like this?

This isn’t possible natively, but you can write a custom extension and use the hooks in Publisher to trigger an email like that. That doesn’t sound like something I’d want to add natively, hence all the hooks I added to Publisher.

You can see the list available here: https://boldminded.com/add-ons/publisher/developer-hooks
