Description:
I’ve got a channel ‘Call To Action blocks’ that is:
* Not check in: ‘Channel entry approvals’
* Is check in: ‘Ignored channels’
So I’d assume that publisher does nothing to entires in this channel, and I can freely edit/add as per default ee.

This channel is included as a relationship field in another channel.

When I select a entry (that was created post ‘Publisher’ install) I’m not getting any of the data from the entry in my relationship tags?
If I select a entry that was made prior to installing ‘Publisher’ all the entry fields display as expected.

Hi Benjamin. So the entry that contains the relationship field is not ignored by publisher, but you selected an entry in the relationship field from a channel that is ignored? So it works fine in the CP? But, on the front-end is where the non-ignored channel entries tag has a relationship field and is trying to show an assigned related entry from an ignored channel?

Hi

Yep - that sounds exactly correct.

Cool, thanks. I’ll try to replicate this locally some night this week and get back to you.

Great - thanks.

Quick question - what’s the difference between ‘Channel entry approvals’ and ‘Ignored channels’?

Entry approvals means that if someone is logged in as an Editor (one of the other Publisher settings) that they can’t save as Open/Published. They have to check the “Needs Approval” checkbox, then an admin or publisher edits the entry and can save it as Open/Published.

So to more directly answer your question, you can enable/disable that on a per-channel basis.

Can you post a Dropbox or some sort of other sharing link?

I wasn’t able to replicate the issue, but I fixed another Relationships field issue tonight for another ticket, hoping it took care of this one too.

Hi

Build didn’t fix the issue - what was the other Relationships field issue that it fixed?

I’ve got a work around in place - grabbing the entry_id’s that the relationship field does output - then in a separate stash embed doing a separate channel entries call - not ideal but a work around for now.

Regards Ben

Can you take a few minutes and replicate the issue in a clean EE environment… no other add-ons. All the custom fields are working for me in relationship tags. Its odd that only the entry_id field works for you… that doesn’t make much sense to be honest.
