I have a site with two languages, italian and english. I set italian as default but when I add a new entry it is always set on english as default.
I checked well all the settings in the publisher settings and all is and seems correct.
Keep in mind that I upgraded from the previous version 1.5.9 that worked fine.

Barbara, until I have time to look into this its probably best for you to roll back to 1.5.9.
Did you clear your cookies or try this in a different browser?

yes, I’ve clear cookies and try with another browser (browser in english and browser in italian) but nothing changed.
I’m still in development so I can stay on the last release.
