Dec 17, 2014When adding an entry for a Brand News story and leaving a blank date field the following error appears:

Column field ID 54 is the date. The same news channel has 3 options. Brand News, Blog and Company News. The date isn’t required for the Brand News section and ‘not required’ is checked in the field settings so I wouldn’t expect this to create an error message.

Did you try disabling Publisher? It doesn’t modify core tables like that, so I’d be surprised if this was a Publisher related issue. Try disabling Publisher, if the error still occurs, backup your database and uninstall Publisher completely then try it again.
