I had wyvern installed but needed to switch to a different wysiwyg for reasons I forgot (a couple of months ago)

In any case i hadn’t done any work on this site for a while and when I went to do something today I was running into errors. I thought it was because the wyvern files were still on the system so I removed them and when i did I got the following error on my publish page which I thought was weird since I had uninstalled it anc converted the fields to a different type.

An Error Was Encountered
Unable to load requested field type file: ft.wyvern.php.
Confirm the fieldtype file is located in the expressionengine/third_party/ directory

I then put the files back, resinstalled the add-on and once again uninstalled it. When I did that I got the following error immediately on page refresh

A PHP Error was encountered

Severity: Notice

Message: Undefined property: Addons::$dbforge

Filename: wyvern/upd.wyvern.php

Line Number: 175

Fatal error: Call to a member function drop_table() on a non-object in /path/to/expressionengine/third_party/wyvern/upd.wyvern.php on line 175

investigating further I found that the extension and fieldtype had uninstalled but not the module. I uninstalled the module (again) and it actually uninstalled. I then removed the wyvern files from the server and am back at the beginning with the first error.

please advise.

EE 2.4.0
MSM 2.1.2
Wyvern 1.3.4

If you need CP access or ftp will supply it.

Hi Sean. I have not seen this happen before (I’ve done a lot of un-installs during testing), regardless, can you go to the exp_modules table and see if there is a row for Wyvern in there? If so, manually delete it and see what happens.

Hi,

Just came back to report that this was totally my fault. I had a matrix field that I hadn’t converted away from wyvern. Once I did that everything is cool.

Sorry for taking up your time.

Sean

Ah, no worries, glad it was something simple 😊
