Recently upgraded from Wyvern 1.4.1 to 1.5.6, Wyvern video 1.0 to 1.2.7. Didn’t work correctly so I upgraded ckeditor as well. Everything was working until I wanted to add an image to an article using the image chooser (not filemanager).

You open the image properties window and go to browse, you can select existing / upload images but when you select it and it returns to the properties window the URL text box is still empty.

I can use the file manager to add images fine but for our clients using it the way they’re used to it would be best.

Hi, Owen. Which image button is being pressed? Please provide screenshot. Also, have you looked at your JavaScript console to see if there were any errors? Are you using Assets or the native File Manager? I need more to go b/c this isn’t something I can replicate locally.

also, if you recently upgraded are you sure you cleared your cache? Its possible the old .js file could still be getting loaded.

Added an image.

Shows the image button I’m pressing, js console (error occurs on page load, stays the same throughout process), image properties box that pops up after pressing image button and file manager after pressing browse.

I was able to replicate the problem on a fresh install except no console errors occur this time but the main problem still exists.

Do you get any JS errors after selecting an image? Something must be conflicting b/c I can’t replicate this locally.

#5

Owen Kavanagh

Thats the only error that appears on the console from load to after selecting an image.

What other add-ons do you have installed? Have you tried backing up the database, and disabling other add-ons 1 by 1 to see if it starts working agan?

Would you be able to provide FTP and CP access so I can take a peek?

#7

Owen Kavanagh

Don’t have FTP access but CP access provided.

#8

Owen Kavanagh

I was able to replicate it on a blank EE install so I doubt it’s conflicting with 3rd party add-ons

What version was the blank EE install? There is clearly a tablesort JS error which is stopping additional JS from processing. It looks like you’re using EE 2.5.2, have you tried a 2.5.5 or 2.6 install with only Wyvern installed?

Brian,

I am also having this same issue. Adding a image file within a Wyvern field is currently not working. When I select a file to add, it shows a blank URL field as if I hadn’t selected anything yet. We are running 2.5.5 with Matrix, Navee, Free Form Pro & MX Google Map.

We are also experiencing this issue as well. We are currently upgrading our sites to EE 2.5.5 with Wyvern 1.5.6. While we are able to browse for and select an image, we get the blank URL field and are unable to add the image to the content. Unlike the original post, we are also unable to use the file manager to add an image - it adds a broken image, but when clicked we get “undefined” in the URL box.

So this is an actual thing 😊

Thanks for the the input, I’ll try to address this tonight (and hopefully I can replicate it).

What version of CK Editor is everyone running? Can you both check your Console for any JS errors when you open the image dialog and go through the process of adding an image. If you see any errors please post them here.

#13

Sarah Hicks

We are running CKeditor 4.1.1, no console errors.

#14

Andrew Osborne

Same as Sarah, CKEditor 4.1.1

I’m still unable to replicate this locally. Can either/both of you email me some CP credentials to take a look? support@boldminded.com.

I just uploaded a new build to Devot:ee, can everyone grab a copy there and let me know if it fixes the issue. Thanks

I’m going to close this ticket b/c I have 2 reports that 1.5.7 available on Devot:ee fixes the issue.
