Hi,

We have a basic CSV import setup. We have noticed that it imports accented characters (e.g. é) as question marks?

Is there a way we can fix this?

Best regards,
Thomas

Note: the details I have shared below are to a development environment. I will also include htaccess authentication details in case you are prompted for them.
The import is setup to import entries to the “Funding Decisions” channel.

Hi, Thomas. Thanks for providing the login info but I only do that as an absolute last resort. Can you please share with me a sample of your import file containing such characters, and what field you’re importing into EE. e.g the Title field or another custom field? And if it’s a custom field what type of field is it?

Hi, Thomas. I just did a test locally and it works fine for me.

I’m using a beta version of DG 5, I’m not making any more updates to v4. I can share a beta version of 5 with you to test with but I don’t think any changes were made to the codebase in v5 that would affect this behavior.
