May 04, 2023Hi Brian, when importing categories, if the feed has categories separated with , then if they don’t already exist, they’re created at the same level. If they’re separate with / then it creates a hierarchical relationship.
But if the category name I’m importing contains commas or slashes, then the end result is different from what’s expected, e.g. if I have a category named “Floral/Paisley” I end up with two categories with a parent-child relationship, rather than a single one which contains / as part of the name. If I change the / to , instead, then I still end up with two categories, but at the same level.
It would be good if we were able to choose which delimiter to use for either case to get around this sort of thing.

Sorry, just noticed there is a delimiter for creating separate categories at the same level, but not the ability to do the same for creating category relationships.

I’m not near a computer for a couple of days can you be more descriptive? What setting are you referring to?

Under Categories:

The last option row is for changing the delimiter, but it’s only for the comma delimiter, not the slash delimiter.BoldMinded (Brian)

Is the slash option not working for you?
