I actually don’t think this is an issue. I did a quick check and if “Enable Ignore” is toggled on, it’s already ignoring the field. I as able to replicate what appeared to be an issue if the field translation was already cached. Try clearing your cache.

Ahah - yes - this one is operator error ... didn’t see the “Enable Ignores” switch at top of panel…
