I’m using the Visitor plugin to leverage entries as members.  I’m familiar with the plugin and using the same setup on an EE5 site.

When importing a CSV file I’m unable to successfully set entry Author from the matched fields.  This includes Email Address, Username, and Member ID.  All which exist in my CSV and are matched to both Author and Author Field Value.  I have confirmed that there are no spaces and the data matches.

Unfortunately the Default Author cannot be set with this plugin and I cannot leave the fields blank.  It has to be specifically tied to the member account already created otherwise my Super Admin account is tied to these other login types.

Solved: Specific to this use-case (Visitor plugin that creates entries with unique Author)

Only enable “Change Entry Author” in the Visitor’s Channel –> Permissions tab.
