Hello,

Does your add-on support the public channel form (https://docs.expressionengine.com/latest/channels/channel-form/overview.html)? I’ve purchased, installed, and configured the add-on, and it is working from the “system” backend of the site - however, when I try to use it in a channel form, it fails to work and just displays the following output instead:

“Invalid categories selected

The following categories were selected as options, but their category groups were not assigned this channel, so they are not available in the options list below. Saving the entry will not cause any error, but it is probably something that should be addressed by a site administrator.

  Category 1
  Category 2
  Sub-Cat 1
  Sub-Cat 2
  and 3 others…

No categories found. Are you sure category groups are assigned to this channel? See the documentation”

That message is inaccurate - the groups containing the listed categories most definitely ARE assigned to that channel; see attached screenshots showing the channel settings, the category settings/group, the field settings, and the addon working in the system channel form (as mentioned above).

Please advise.

To be honest I haven’t tested it using the channel:form tag. I forget that even exists. Due to current vacation it could be a week or more before I have time to look into this. I apologize for the delay. If you’d like a refund I can do that, or you’ll have to hang in there for a bit until I can find time to replicate the issue and see what is going on.

Thanks for the quick response. Unfortunately I did purchase it specifically for a project where I need to be able to make categories required on a public channel form - if you could issue a refund, that would be great.

Thanks, - Stephen

Actually, it looks like you’ll have to request a refund from ExpressionEngine.com since you ordered it from there. Feel free to point them to this ticket if they ask.
