Ticket: Can’t update bloqs from 4.12.2 to 4.12.3. Causes CP to be unaccessible.

Apr 15, 2022Attempting to update Bloqs from 4.12.2 to 4.12.3 in the typical way.. copy files to themes and system / user / addons directories.
After copying files, CP just redirects to /cp/addons with a browser message of: Can’t load page. Too many redirects. Happens on all browsers.
Doesn’t matter what CP URL I try, I can’t bypass, I always get automatically redirected to /cp/addons with the browser error.
So, CP is unusable. If I restore the 4.12.2 Bloqs files, then I can access the CP again.

Can you inspect your Network tab and tell me what URLs is redirecting between? Bloqs will try to redirect you to the add-ons update page if the version changed, but it only does this if you’re on a Bloqs settings page, or editing an entry. It shouldn’t do this as soon as you login, which is why I’m confused b/c you should be able to access other pages in your CP.

Can you provide CP and FTP access so I can see what is going on? If so edit the ticket and insert the credentials into the provided fields.

I fixed it on your site. The Library/Basee/Updater.php file needed a small fix. I’ll post a new build in the next comment.
